Fashion designer Collette Dinnigan and TV presenter Richard Wilkins were Australia's it-couple before they split in 2004, just months before she was due to give birth to their daughter.
Now, notoriously private Collette, 49, has opened up about how she navigates the often delicate task of co-parenting a child with her ex.
'I think for all children the most important thing is to know they are loved by both parents and that they are a priority in each of our lives, and that's the case,' Collette told to Daily Mail Australia.

'There's no right or wrong way, as long as your priorities are right.'
Australia's fashion export was at a breakfast event with Eva Longoria to celebrate Specsavers Spectacle Wearer Of The Year 2015 award, when she spoke of her relationship with Richard, 61, father of her 10-year-old daughter Estella.
The breakdown of Collette and Richard's relationship made headlines in 2004 when Sydney Morning Herald reported that in the wake of their 'increasingly irreconcilable relationship' the couple's .1 million Paddington home was signed over to Dinnigan.

Since the split, Collette has gone on to find love with husband Bradley Cooks, who she shares three-year-old son Hunter.
Meanwhile, three-times married Channel Nine host Richard is thought to be single.
Excluding Estella, Richard has four children from past relationships- daughter Rebecca, as well as sons Nicolas, Christian, and Adam.

In 2013 style queen Collette decided to step back from her fashion empire, closing her Sydney, Melbourne and London boutiques to focus on family.
With a retrospective Collette Dinnigan: Unlaced set to launch at Sydney's Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences in September, Collette says it's taken her two years to get to where she wants.
'I think after the exhibition has opened and the retrospective kicks in, it's going to mean I have so much more time,' she said.
'Even though I made the decision it has taken two years in the making to kind of get to a place where I can see the wood for the trees, which is going to be October.'
Not interested! Collette says her daughter hasn't expressed an interest in following in her fashion footsteps

Spending time with Estella and Hunter is a priority for the mother-of-two, but she says, 'I still don't get as much time as I want but what I do get, is to say "it's school holidays, we're all going to the farm together".'
Despite, her mother's success in fashion Collette says her daughter has no aspirations to follow in her footsteps.
'All she wants to do is wear jodhpurs. She's growing up! I think she's heard so many times your mother makes beautiful dresses that she doesn't want to hear it again.
'I want her to do whatever is right for her and keeps her feeling motivated or innovated,' she says of her hopes for her little one
Famous designs: Halle Berry set tongues wagging when she wore one of Collette's designs to the Die Another Day premiere, while Nicole Kidman is also a fan, pictured in 2012
'I want her to do whatever is right for her and keeps her feeling motivated or innovated,' she says of her hopes for her little one.
'I just want her to be able to navigate her journey in the best possible way and be a kind person and not be hurt.'
Meanwhile, the next few months will be busy for Collette who, along with her Specsavers designs, has also launched a low-cost lingerie line, Wild Hearts.

September will see her thrust into the limelight again with her retrospective, which looks back at her 25 years in the fashion industry.
Putting together her body of work has been an 'emotional' experience, she says, and it's hard to pick out one piece that sums up her journey as a designer.
'There's different pieces that define different moments in time.
'Whether it's the Halle Berry dress, that she wore when everyone thought she had no underwear on underneath... Or, even, the beautiful dress that I made a few years ago that Nicole Kidman, Amy Adams, and Princess Mary wore.'
